The US Economy and Transatlantic Relations Institute aims to broaden and promote knowledge of the US economy as well as the relationship between America and the European Union. We approach these matters in an interdisciplinary way, looking at them not only through the prism of finance and trade, but also in terms of their political, cultural, ideological, and institutional dimensions.
In this spirit, the Institute promotes research and brings together leading scholars through conferences, colloquia, and other public events in order to engage in a dialogue about the state and importance of the American economy, the transatlantic relationship, and their likely directions in the 21st century.
A new phase in our development
The US Economy and Transatlantic Relations Institute is proud to announce a new phase in its development. With an improved website and new head office, we are looking to elevate our operations in order to effectively tackle the big problems of the day.
We are currently in the process of planning new conferences and panel discussions about the upcoming US elections, higher education in Europe and America, as well as the future of US-European relations in the context of shifting geopolitical priorities. If you are a scholar and are interested in participating in these efforts, or a university student looking to volunteer, please do not hesitate to contact us.
